Palisades East is a unit of the Chattahoochee National Recreation area and a great hike in the woods. The views of the homes do not take away from the hike.

Hiking to the bamboo forest is a must on this trail.

There is a place to put in a small boat or kayak for fishing. The parking area is not very large and does get crowded with folks fishing.

We saw several people using the trail to run with their dogs.
