Victoria Bryant State Park is in northern Georgia's upper Piedmont and a real treat to visit. The park opened in 1952 when Paul E. Bryant of Royston, GA dedicated 45 acres of land as a memorial to his mother, Victoria Osborn Bryant. Today the park offers 500 acres to hike, bike, picnic and fish. A beautiful creek flows through the park and has a natural rock slide in the shoals area offering a place to have a quiet picnic.

There are four trails in the park and we chose the Perimeter Trail to hike in March 2014. The trail is easy to moderate but does have a few steep hills and gave us a wonderful 5 mile workout. We had views of the golf course, a stream and of course the quiet woods with wildlife.

The Broad River Loop Trail is a 3.5 mile loop and has a Beaver Pond observation overlook. The Inner Loop Trail is a connecting trail and runs through the Pioneer camping area for about 1.5 miles one way. Victoria's Path is just 0.5 miles and takes you along Rice Creek.

RV and primitive camping is available with 35 RV sites and 8 platform sites for tents only. Organized groups may use two pioneer campgrounds. See RV Home on the Road for more information on camping.

Victory Bryant also offers the 18-hole Highland Walk Golf Course with clubhouse, golf pro, junior/senior rates and a junior golf program. The course's Bluebird Cottage is available for overnight golf packages. The course is built on steep, rolling hills and is very beautiful.
